Meet our Personal Travel Planners

The value of hiring a personal travel planner is in having someone listen to your vacation interests and turn those specific interests into a unique itinerary. You have different tastes than your neighbor, family member or Facebook friend, so why should you settle for what they recommend?

We’ve traveled the United States and the world for years, having been to almost every state and over 40 countries. For us, the act of planning a vacation is about creating a personal, memorable experience that’s so stress-free that you have nothing to think about except where you’re going next.

I travel to lose myself in discovery; to leave at home all certainties and expectations and take part in something completely unknown. Whether it be new restaurants or new countries, I try to have my world turned upside-down for just a moment so that I know what right-side up really means.

Between trips, I live in Chicago and take advantage of the many adventures happening in this great city.

I started traveling through Europe with the St. Louis Children’s Choirs in 6th grade. I had seen too many things by that point to be content without traveling, and upon graduating high school, embarked on a year’s stay in Belgium as an Exchange Student. Ever since, I’ve been a happy traveler, having learned to trust my travel instincts and the value of a big, fat smile.

At home in Chicago, I find myself making comparisons between everyday life and the joys of travel. I have a soft spot for the natural diplomacy that occurs when folks from other cultures mix and mingle.

“I loved knowing that I was going to experience something fun at every stop. The hotels were local family run places that made me feel like home. Each meal was a unique experience that involved the local culture. But most importantly, I didn’t waste time wondering where to go. I spent more time outside my car enjoying the trip than in my cellphone deciding what to do next.”
